The present invention relates to mono or dipotassium 2-[[5-ethyl-3-[2'-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)- biphenyl-4-yl]methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazolin-2-yliden]amino- carbonyl]-l-cyclopentenecarboxylate, a pharmaceutical composition containing the compound, use of the com- pound for pharmaceuticals, and a therapeutic method of circulatory diseases by administering the compound. The mono or dipotassium salt of the compound has a potent angiotensin II antagonist activity and anti- hypertensive effect and also has high bioavailability when administered orally so that it is useful as a pharmaceutical.
L'invention se rapporte à un sel mono- ou dipotassium d'acide 2-[[5-éthyl-3-[2'-(1H-tétrazol-5-yl)biphényl-4-yl]méthyl-1,3,4-thiadiazolin-2-ylidène]aminocarbonyl]-1-cyclopentenecarboxylique, à une composition médicinale contenant ce sel, à l'utilisation de ce sel comme médicament, et à un procédé de traitement de troubles circulatoires par administration de ce sel. Ce sel présente un antagonisme puissant par rapport à l'angiotensine II, une activité hypotensive ainsi qu'une biodisponibilité perorale élevée, ce qui permet de l'utiliser comme médicament.
