ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to an apparatus for reducing electric potential between two electrically conductive objects. A connecting adjustment cable is placed between the electrically conductive objections, through which an equalizer passes from one object to the other. Operatively associated with the cable (3) is a current detector (5) delivering the first output voltage dependent on the equalizer current. An instrument lead (9) which is connected to the objects is arranged in series with a voltage detector (8) which is disconnectable. The voltage detector, in turn, delivers a second output voltage which is dependent on the potential difference. The transforming circuit (7) delivering a third output voltage dependent on the first and second output voltages is also operatively associated with the equalizer. The adjustment cable thus has a predetermined resistance value.
