Resistors R1 and R2 are in parallel with inductor T1. Resistors R3 and R4 are in parallel with inductor T2. The inductors T1 and T2 constitute the series legs of low-pass filter (205), and the capacitors C1 and C2 form the shunt legs. POTS splitters (101) making use of such filters can facilitate impedance matching of line and load termination in a telecommunications system (100) in response to signals within the frequencies of typical analog telephony service.

Selon l'invention, les résistances R1 et R2 sont installées en parallèle avec l'inductance T1. Les résistances R3 et R4 sont installées en parallèle avec l'inductance T2. Les inductances T1 et T2 constituent les tiges en série du filtre passe-bas (205), les condensateurs C1 et C2 formant les tiges en dérivation. Les séparateurs POTS (101) utilisant ces filtres permettent de faciliter l'adaptation d'impédance de ligne et la terminaison de charge dans un système de télécommunication (100) en réponse à des signaux émis dans les fréquences d'un service téléphonique analogique classique.
