16 A pouch-shaped package for aromatic products, in particular tobacco. ABSTRACT A pouch-shaped package for aromatic products, in particular tobacco commodities is produced from a single sheet (10) of a semi-rigid, foldable and moisture-tight foil material punched in a rectangular plane form having a first pair of opposite side edges (11,12) and a second pair of opposite side edges (13,14). By stamping symmetrically from both sides of the sheet about a central axis (15) parallel to the first pair of side edges (11, 12) folding lines are provided, along which the sheet is folded or bent so as to obtain a substantially box-like container with a bottom (1), two opposite end walls (2,3) and two opposite side walls (4,5). By means of further oblique folding lines (6,7) in the end walls (2,3) the con- tainer may be collapsed in a flat condition by folding one side wall (4) over the bottom (1) of the container followed by overlapping bending of the second side wall (5). (Figs 1 and 2).
