ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pouring spout on a container for liquids in the form of an extendable tube which may be pulled out from the container neck to a limited extent, is provided with an inwardly extending annular flange forming a sealing lip which when the container is closed cooperates with a central plug inside a cap for the container, said inwardly extending sealing lip being adapted to engage said plug to permit the pouring spout to be moved to extended position until catch faces on the tube abut a flange in the container neck.
