A B S T R A C T Thermosetting powder coating compositions are prepared by reacting a solid pulverulent mixture of a linear vinyl addition polymer having pendant 2-oxasoline and/or 2-oxazine groups and a solid polycarboxylic acid having a melting point of 70°-175°C. There is preferably added, as a plasticizer, a long chain monocarboxylic acid. The coatings thus prepared have excellent re- sistance to impact and to weathering.
