A B S T R A C T A plastic container having a bottom, a lid, a hinge connecting the lid and the bottom and having a generally cylindrical hinge pin, inner and outer hinge arms spaced apart and defining a channel to fit around and receive the hinge pin, lips on the free edges of the hinge arms defining a restricted spacing less than the spacing between the arms to make a snap fit around the hinge pin, at least one of the hinge arms being resiliently flexible relative to the other open up pin and a pin bearing member located between the arms to engage the hinge pin.
