A B S T R A C T A plastics powder with incorporated sensitizing particles for use in electroless plating comprises a hydrophobic plastics material and a hydrophilic plastics material, these materials being mixed preferably by spray drying while impregnating the sensitizing particles A powder is obtained which is easy to adapt to various substrate surfaces.
