The invention is directed to a thermosetting powder paint composition comprising a thermosetting amorphous polyamide. The amorphous polyamide has a glass transition temperature between 20 C and 200 C. The polyamide may be a carboxyl-, a hydroxyl- or an amine functional polyamide. A carboxyl functional polyamide has an acid number between 10 and 150 mg of KOH/gram of resin. The invention also relates to a thermosetting powder paint composition comprising a thermosetting amorphous polyamide and an additive comprising a copper halogenide and another halogenide. The invention further relates to a process for coating a substrate at low temperature cure (LTC) conditions and a composition suitable for LTC.
L'invention concerne une composition de peinture en poudre thermodurcissable contenant un polyamide amorphe thermodurcissable. Le polyamide amorphe présente une température de transition vitreuse située entre 20 °C et 200 °C. Le polyamide peut être un polyamide fonctionnel carboxyle, hydroxyle ou amine. Un polyamide fonctionnel carboxyle présente un nombre d'acides situé entre 10 et 150mg de KOH/gramme de résine. L'invention concerne également une composition de peinture en poudre thermodurcissable contenant un polyamide amorphe thermodurcissable et un additif contenant un halogénure de cuivre et un autre halogénure. L'invention concerne également un procédé de revêtement d'un substrat dans des conditions de durcissement à faible température (LTC) et une composition adaptée pour un durcissement LTC.
