ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A powdery coating composition is disclosed which comprises (A) a carboxyl-modified product of a hydrolyzed polymer obtained by hydrolyzing a copolymer derived from a vinyl ester of a saturated monocarboxylic acid and a vinyl monomer polymerizable therewith and (B) a compound having not less than two epoxy groups in the molecule. The composition can be be used to form extremely tough coating films which are resistant to chemicals, water and salt spray.
