ABSTRACT There is disclosed a power actuator for a discharge chute of a snowblower. The actuator includes an electric motor, drive means connecting the motor to a spiral component which engages slots in the discharge chute. Electrical connections are provided for connecting the motor to a power source and switch means are provided for on-off operation. The power actuator is particularly suitable for retro-fits for existing snowblowers.
