ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A power amplifier having an input terminal supplied with a PCM (Pulse Code modulated) signal, power supplys each producing a voltage weighted correspondingly to each order of bits of the PCM-code, switching means controlled by the PCM input signal so as to connect the power supplies selectively to a load in series in response to the PCM code.
