ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A power and free roller conveyor having a plurality of work-carrying rollers has a friction wheel secured to each roller for non-slipping rotation therewith, a plurality of friction wheels axially slidable on an input drive shaft and biased into engagement with the friction wheels on the rollers by springs on the shaft, the bias of each spring being adjustable to vary selectively the torque transmitted from the shaft to the rollers.
