The power cable joint device comprises at least one tubular rigid support element (4) which may include cylindrical or conical recesses (4a-4b) and is lubricated over most of its exterior surface by means of a grease which does not flow under the action of the pressure exerted by the shrinkable sleeve, the said grease being based on a silicone or on a glycol filled with talc and containing at least one pressure-withstanding additive, a cold-shrinkable pre-expanded sleeve (5), gripping the said support element (4) over most of its length and on its internal end, and a releasable immobilizing means which keeps the said support element (4) immobilized with respect to the pre--expanded sleeve (5). The releasable immobilizing means is such that it creates a region of localized friction between the support element (4) and the shrinkable sleeve (5) and which, when it is released, causes localized shrinkage of the sleeve near the internal end of the support element, which is then thrust axially outwards.

Le dispositif de jonction de câble électrique comprend au moins un élément support (4) rigide tubulaire pouvant comprendre deux demi supports (4a, 4b) cylindriques ou coniques, lubrifié sur la majeure partie de sa surface extérieure, au moyen d'une graisse non fluante sous l'action de la pression exercée par le manchon rétractable, ladite graisse étant à base de silicone ou de glycol chargé en talc contenant au moins un additif de tenue à la pression , un manchon pré-expansé (5), rétractable à froid, enserrant ledit élément support (4) sur la majeure partie de sa longueur et sur son extrémité interne, et un moyen d'immobilisation déverrouillable, maintenant ledit élément support (4) immobilisé par rapport au manchon pré-expansé (5). Le moyen d'immobilisation déverrouillable est tel qu'il crée une zone de frottement localisé entre l'élément support (4) et le manchon rétractable (5) et provoque, lorsqu'il est déverrouillé, une rétraction localisée du manchon au voisinage de l'extrémité interne de l'élément support, lequel est alors poussé axialement vers l'extérieur.
