Thyristers 11 to 34 for each arm are arranged on the respective surfaces of each of the DC-side buses 4, 5, and the intervals from one AC side of connection conductors within the same arm are made equal in order to almost equalize the mutual inductances between the conductors, thereby balancing current shares while currents flowing through the conductors are temporally varying.
