For use in a power converter having first and second output diodes coupled to a secondary winding of an isolation transformer and first and second output inductors, coupled to the first and second output diodes, respectively, and an output derived from the first and second output inductors and a center tap of the secondary winding, a circuit for, and method of allowing the power converter to provide an output current at multiple output voltages. In one embodiment, the circuit includes: (1) a contactor, coupled to a first node between the first output diode and output inductor and a second node between the second output diode and output inductor, that selectively: (1a) closes to create an inter-inductor conductive path to couple the first and second output inductors in parallel and to allow the power converter to operate at a first output voltage and (1b) opens to break the inter-inductor conductive path and to allow the power converter to operate at a second output voltage lower than the first output voltage and (2) first and second conductive paths, coupling the center tap to the first node and the second node, respectively, that provide conductive paths for the output current.
La présente invention est destinée à un convertisseur de puissance ayant : une première et une seconde diodes de sortie connectées au bobinage secondaire d'un transformateur d'isolation et un premier et un second inducteurs de sortie accouplés respectivement à la première et à la seconde diodes de sortie; une sortie dérivée du premier et du second inducteurs de sortie et d'une prise centrale du bobinage secondaire; et un circuit et une méthode permettant au convertisseur de puissance de générer un courant de sortie à différentes tensions de sortie. Dans une version, le circuit comprend : 1) un contacteur, connecté à un premier noeud situé entre la première diode de sortie et le premier inducteur de sortie et un second noeud situé entre la seconde diode de sortie et le second inducteur de sortie, qui sélectivement : 1a) se ferme pour créer un chemin conducteur inter-inducteurs afin de relier en parallèle les premier et second inducteurs de sortie et permettre au convertisseur de puissance de fonctionner à une première tension de sortie; 1b) s'ouvre afin de couper le chemin conducteur inter-inducteurs et permettre au convertisseur de puissance de fonctionner à une seconde tension de sortie, celle-ci étant inférieure à la première tension de sortie. Le circuit comprend également : 2) un premier et un second chemins conducteurs reliant la prise centrale au premier et au second noeuds respectifs, qui forment des chemins conducteurs pour le courant de sortie.
