ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a power generating unit for hydroelectric power genera- tion to generate electric power by utilizing pooled water such as lake, pond, etc. The unit according to the present invention is characterized in that there are provided pipes, each consisting of a water introducing and dropp- ing portion, submerged in water and having a certain descending slope, and a water lifting portion, running up with steep slope from lower end of said water introducing and dropping portion, and means for accelerating the water flow within said pipes.
