ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus to generate power from tidal rise and fall. The apparatus has a float to rise and fall with the tide. A first shaft is rotatable by movement of the float. A cam plate is rotatable with the first shaft. There is a second shaft with two cam followers spaced apart on the second shaft that contact the cam plate to reciprocate the second shaft. A main pump is drivable by reciprocation of the second shaft to pump liquid to drive a power generating apparatus. The apparatus is compact and efficient and has little or no environmental effect.
