A dual head contrast media injection system performs a patency check or test injection, determining flow rate and/or flow volume from the programmed protocol. The tubing that connects syringes to a patient shares only a short common section near to the patient. Appropriate injection steps are taken to compensate for tubing elasticity. A wireless remote control and a touch screen control are provided, improving functionality and information delivery. The display brightness is controlled based on the ambient light, and the display panel includes a double swivel permitting re-orientation. The orientation of the display may also be controlled based on, e.g., the current step, the tilt angle of the powerhead, or a manual control. Furthermore, the display is customizable to identify the type of fluid (contrast, saline, etc.) on either side of the injector, to provide matched color coding, and to provide a folder/tab analogy for retrieving injection protocol parameters.

L'invention concerne un système d'injection de milieu de contraste à double tête permettant de réaliser un contrôle de perméabilité ou une injection d'essai, et déterminant un débit d'écoulement et/ou un volume d'écoulement à partir du protocole programmé. Les tubes reliant les seringues à un patient n'ont en commun qu'une courte section au voisinage du patient. Des opérations d'injection appropriées sont réalisées en vue d'une compensation de l'élasticité des tubes. On utilise une télécommande sans fil et une commande par écran tactile permettant d'améliorer la fonctionnalité et la distribution des informations. La luminosité de l'affichage est réglée sur la base de la lumière ambiante, le panneau d'affichage comportant un double pivot permettant une réorientation. L'orientation de l'affichage peut également être réglée, par exemple, sur la base de l'opération en cours, de l'angle d'inclinaison de la tête d'injection, ou d'une commande manuelle. En outre, ledit affichage est personnalisable en vue de l'identification du type de liquide (solution de contraste, solution saline, etc.) sur un côté ou l'autre de l'injecteur, de l'obtention d'un codage couleur adapté, et de l'obtention d'une analogie fichier/onglet pour la récupération de paramètres de protocole d'injection.
