ABSTRACT A power operated loading mechanism for moving a pair of swinging arms having a load carrying device at their outer ends, includ- ing a pair of double acting rams each having a piston rod pivotally connected to the crosspiece of a T-link which is in turn pivotally connected to a point on the swinging arm displaced from its main pivot, and guide means for guiding a part of the pivotal linkage to move in a path remote from the main swinging arms.
