ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improvement in a power operated pipe bending mandrel having a body mounted on wheels, a hydraulical forward/reverse drive system and a hydraulically expandable/contractible sections mounted on the body. The improvement consists of an internal combustion engine, a fuel tank for the internal combustion engine, a variable displacement pump, a hydraulic fluid reservoir, valves to activate the hydraulic forward/reverse drive system and valves to activate the expandable/contractible body sections positioned on the mandrel. The valves are remotely activated.
