ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a saw blade for a power saw, whereby the saw blade protrudes from the motor casing and whereby a spur wheel is provided at the forward end of the saw blade for the purpose of reversing the chain, and a chain wheel at the rearward end of the blade for the purpose of transmitting the drive power from the motor to the chain. In the area between spur wheel and the chain wheel, the chain strands extend substantially over the entire length of the saw blade leaving a space between the strand and the saw blade. A tension adjusting wheel may be spring mounted on the saw blade.
