ABSTRACT A table for supporting an electric power tool is provided with a safety shut-off device. A bar is pivotably mounted on the side of the table and a shut-off switch is mounted to the table behind the bar. The bar is biased away from the shut-off switch by a spring. If an operator falls or leans against the bar, the switch is actuated to shut off the power to the tool.
