Abstract of the Disclosure A power transmission line having non-transposed phase conductors comprises a device to detect the formation of glaze on the conductors. This device incorporates an r.f. oscillator and an r.f. receiver coupled to the phase con- ductors. There are glaze sensors arranged on the line at the locations where glaze usually forms. Each of the glaze sen- sors is coupled to one of the phase conductors via a con- nection filter and a coupling capacitor which connect each other. There are induction coils each of which has its one end coupled to the common point of the connection filter and the coupling capacitor, and has the other end coupled to a respective glaze sensor. The r.f. oscillator is installed at one end of the line and is coupled to the middle phase, while the r.f. receiver is installed at the other end of the line and is coupled to that phase to which the glaze sensors are connected. The line of the invention offer higher reliability and requires simple maintenance.
