ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A worm drive system has first and second sets of rollers, each having a roller axis and being mounted on a worm wheel for rotation about its roller axis relative to the worm wheel, the roller axes of the first and second sets being disposed in different orientations relative to the worm wheel axis of rotation. A worm screw has first and second screw threads in mating engagement with the first and second sets of rollers, respectively, the first and second screw threads being separate and distinct from one another and having different configurations. The first and second screw threads have surfaces matching surfaces generated by the rollers of the first and second sets, respectively, upon simultaneous rotation of the worm wheel and the worm screw.
