In a power unit for a vehicle, including a clutch capable of making and breaking the transmission of power, the clutch interposed in the course of a power transmission path along which rotational power of a crankshaft rotatably borne on a crankcase while having its axis set along the front-rear direction of the vehicle is transmitted to a drive wheel, and a clutch actuator for controlling the connection and disconnection of the clutch, the clutch actuator mounted to an engine body including the crankcase, to obviate increases in the front-rear lengths of the engine and the vehicle body arising from the arrangement of the clutch actuator. The clutch actuator is disposed at the upper surface of the engine body.
Groupe motopropulseur pour véhicule comprenant un embrayage capable d'entraîner et d'interrompre la transmission du couple. L'embrayage est installé sur la chaîne de transmission par l'intermédiaire de laquelle le couple généré par la rotation d'un vilebrequin soutenu par un carter et dont l'axe court dans le sens de la longueur du véhicule est transmis à une roue motrice. Un dispositif de commande d'embrayage permettant d'engager et de désengager l'embrayage est installé sur le groupe moteur où se trouve le carter, ce qui permet de tenir compte de l'augmentation de la longueur avant-arrière du moteur et de la structure du véhicule découlant de la disposition du dispositif de commande d'embrayage. Le dispositif de commande d'embrayage se trouve sur la surface supérieure du groupe moteur.
