The powered patio pole umbrella (100) receives power from an external outlet (106) and provides power to a plurality of power hubs (210, 310) including electrical outlets (230, 330) positioned vertically within the central pole (190) of the umbrella (100). Consumers may plug electrical devices (10) into the electrical outlets (230, 330) in the power hubs (210, 310). The power hubs (310) are sealed for moisture and a ground fault circuit interrupter (110) is provided for additional safety.
