ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a railway car having a body, drive motor means to power the car, and a pair of longitudinally spaced first axles including flanged drive wheels mounted thereon. The first axles are connected at opposite ends of the body for pivotal movement about a respective vertical axis. A second axle having flanged wheels is positioned intermediate the first axles, and it is connected to the body for relative transverse guiding movement. The improved steering arrange- ment for the first axles includes two pairs of longitudinally extending and laterally spaced telescopeable assemblies, with means pivotally connecting first ends of each of the pair of telescopeable assemblies to the second axle. The other ends of the respective pairs of telescopeable assemblies are connected to the first axles. Each telescopeable assembly is operatively inter-reactive with the other telescopeable assemblies whereupon transverse guiding movement of the second axle relative to the body urges extension of one of the pairs of telescopeable assemblies and corresponding retraction of the other pair of telescopeable assemblies in response to track curvature to provide relative steering movement to the first axles and drive wheels in relation to the curve.
