A genetic vaccine construct comprising a poxvirus vector which incorporates and, on administration to a subject, expresses in a cell of said subject a sequence of nucleotides encoding a prostate-specific polypeptide, wherein said poxvirus vector does not productively infect said subject. The genetic vaccine construct is for treatment of prostate cancer. The prostate specific polypeptide is preferably rat prostatic acid phosphatase, and is preferably xenogenic to the subject. The proxvirus vector is an avipox virus vector, preferably a fowl poxvirus vector. The genetic vaccine construct may also encode for one or more cytokines.
L'invention concerne un gène hybride d'un vaccin génétique contenant un vecteur de poxvirus qui comprend et, qui suite à son administration chez un sujet, exprime dans une cellule dudit sujet, une séquence de nucléotides codant un polypeptide spécifique de la prostate, ledit vecteur du poxvirus n'infectant pas de manière productive ledit sujet. Le gène hybride du vaccin génétique est destiné au traitement du cancer de la prostate. Le polypeptide spécifique de la prostate est, de préférence, la phosphatase d'acide prostatique de rat, et il est, de préférence, xénogénique chez le sujet. Ledit vecteur du poxvirus est un vecteur du virus d'avipox, de préférence, un vecteur du poxvirus de volaille. Le gène hybride du vaccin génétique peut également coder au moins une cytokine.
