ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Practice cartridge with plastic projectile or projectile replication in which the projectile or the projectile replication is shaped in one piece on a plastic casing open at the rear end, which is inserted into a metal cartridge casing open at the forward end. The cartridge casing with tip-stretched casing shoulder and neck is also produced open at the rear end so that the plastic casing is insertable from this end into the cartridge casing to be positioned tightly at its inner wall in such a manner that the rear end of the projectile is positioned flush with the mouth of the neck. In the rear end of the cartridge casing there is inserted a separate metal base piece which closes this off tightly to the rear. With such a combination a clean separation of the projectile from the neck is achieved upon firing of the practice cartridge.
