Form 22 Abstract The instrument named "Practise Finger Board" is of pocket size. While musical stringed instruments have ample room to install separated strings and tuning machine heads (used to apply string tension) the Practise Finger Board has a devised method of adjusting string tension in a confined space. Each string starts at a string-keeper, encircles a plastic type material nut, over the top of a metal top section, over an opposite nut and returns to a string guy where a tension nut is adjusted to a required tension. A 1 3/4" hole on the top of said top metal section is not intended to emit musical sounds; nor is the instrument meant to have its strings tuned to recognized notes. However, the said tension of said string can be adjusted to that required of a tuned musical instrument (by use of a 1/4" nut driver) allowing an operator to practise quietly and unobstrusively: 1) pick techniques and rhythm; the use of finger and thumb picks 2) also the use of fingers in finger picking, without picks, (as in instrumental playing) can be practised - and the varying techniques 3) the string order of tuning an instrument can be established 4) because of its ease of portability, it permits extra and quiet practice of the many chords needing practice up to 5th fret.
