The pre-mixing chamber (4) is a component of an atomiser (2) for an exhaust gas cleaning unit and is used to mix a pressurised gas (20), e.g. compressed air, with a reducing agent (8), e.g. a urea solution. It is constructed on the carburettor principle. Consequently, the feed (52) for the pressurised gas (20) has a narrowed station (58) and the feed (60) for the reducing agent (8) opens in the region of said narrowed section (58). This ensures that no substances arising from the reducing agent (8) can be deposited in the mixing region. The pre-mixing chamber is intended in particular to a vehicle exhaust gas cleaning unit fitted with a controlled diesel catalyst and for stationary diesel engines up to about 1000 kW (mechanical power).

La chambre de prémélange (4) fait partie intégrante d'un système de pulvérisation (2) pour une installation d'épuration de gaz d'échappement et sert à mélanger un gaz sous pression (20), par ex. de l'air comprimé, avec un agent de réduction (8) tel qu'une solution d'urée. Cette chambre de prémélange (4) est structurée selon le principe du carburateur. La conduite (52) prévue pour le gaz sous pression (20) comporte de ce fait un rétrécissement (58) dans la zone duquel débouche la conduite (60) réservée à l'agent de réduction (8). Grâce à ce système, il ne peut y avoir de dépôts provenant de l'agent de réduction (8) dans la zone de la section de mélange. La chambre de prémélange (4) s'utilise notamment dans les installations d'épuration de gaz d'échappement de véhicules, équipées d'un catalyseur Diesel régulé et pour des moteurs Diesel stationnaires allant jusqu'à environ 1000 kW (puissance mécanique).
