A pretensioned spring track loading assembly (30) provides a two stage loading of a tensioning roller (28) on the interior of a vehicle drive track (20) The two stage loading first loads the track (20) under a lower tension load for normal operation, but when the track (20) is highly loaded such as when digging, or when debris is forced between the track (20) and its drive sprocket (18) or guide rollers (26), the compression of the light rate spring (54) will be stopped mechanically and a second heavier compression spring (64) will provide the loading on tension roller (28) . The additional spring tension under unusual conditions prevents detracking of the track (20) and buckling of the track (20). A lighter tension load on tension roller (28) during normal operations reduces the loads on bearings, particularly in relation to a drive motor (16) . The tension loading assembly has particular adaptability to "high" drive type tracks (20) which have a drive sprocket (18) elevated above the tension roller (28).
L'invention concerne un ensemble de tension des chenilles à ressort prétendu (30) qui accomplit une tension en deux étapes d'un rouleau de tension (28) à l'intérieur d'une chenille de véhicule (20).
