Case 3876 PREASSEMBLED COATED TERMINAL ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT A terminal assembly including a drawn metallic closed polygonal walled cup having a flanged head at its open end and a solder repelling coated screw. The screw is harder than the cup and preassembled thereto by posi- tioning at least two thread helices within the cup. The subassembly is then inserted into a complimentary polygonal aperture in a printed circuit board which can be dip-soldered to establish connection between the cup and circuitry without impairment to the function of the screw and without wicking of solder into the cup.
