An improved Rogowski coil is formed on a toroidal core (10) mad of a thermoplastic or other moldable material, the core having a preferably continuous groove or grooves (12) extending around the core. The grooves correspond in size to magnet wire which registers within the grooves, thus controlling the specific location of the wires. The grooving may be helical. A return loop can be provided for return path cancellation, or a reverse winding can be added in a direction opposite to the direction of advancement of the main coil. In using the return loop, a resistive network can be added to improve the cancellation of the return path due to the effect of geometries. In addition, it can compensate for thermal and other variations.
La présente invention se rapporte à une bobine de Rogowski améliorée, qui est formée sur un noyau toroïdal constitué d'une matière thermoplastique ou d'une autre matière moulable, ledit noyau étant doté d'une ou plusieurs rainures de préférence continues s'étendant sur son pourtour. Les rainures possèdent une taille correspondant à celle d'un fil de bobinage qui se loge dans les rainures, ce qui permet de contrôler l'emplacement spécifique des fils. Le rainurage peut être hélicoïdal. Une boucle de retour peut assurer l'annulation du trajet de retour, ou un bobinage inverse peut être ajouté dans une direction opposée à la direction d'avancement de la bobine principale. Lors de l'utilisation de la boucle de retour, l'on peut ajouter un réseau résistif afin d'améliorer l'annulation du trajet de retour causé par l'effet de géométrie, ledit réseau résistif permettant également de compenser les variations thermiques et d'autres variations.
