The invention concerns a precursor for preparing a material with optical properties capable of being modified by the action of at least one external parameter. Said precursor comprises: a component A consisting of polymerisable monomers or oligomers; a component B comprising one or several low molecular liquid crystals or polymers and having a nematic, cholesteric or smectic molecular arrangement or exhibiting polymorphism; said precursor further comprising: at least a surfactant C whereof the molecules have an affinity both for component A and for component B, and simultaneously comprise one or several chemical groups capable of chemically bonding with the constituents of component A and one or several chemical groups comprising a mesogenic part compatible with the mesomorphous phase of component B, so as to control the interface properties between said components A, B during polymerisation, for preparing a material exhibiting a spatial modulation of its optical properties. The invention also concerns optical components, a method for making them and the uses of said components.
La présente invention concerne un précurseur pour la préparation d'un matériau aux propriétés optiques modifiables sous l'action d'au moins un paramètre extérieur. Ce précurseur comprend: un composant A constitué de monomères ou d'oligomères polymérisables, un composant B comprenant un ou plusieurs cristaux liquides à faibles masses molaires ou polymères et présentant un type d'ordre moléculaire nématique, cholestérique ou smectique ou présentant un polymorphisme, ce précurseur comprend en outre: au moins un agent de surface C dont les molécules ont une affinité à la fois pour le composant A et pour le composant B, et comportent simultanément un ou plusieurs groupements chimiques pouvant s'accrocher chimiquement aux constituants du composant A, et d'autre part, un ou plusieurs groupements chimiques comportant une partie mésogène compatible avec la phase mésomorphe du composant B, afin de contrôler les propriétés interfaciales entre lesdits composants A, B lors de la polymérisation, pour la préparation d'un matériau présentant une modulation spatiale de ses propriétés optiques. L'invention concerne également des composants optiques, un procédé pour leur fabrication et des applications des composants.
