A Method of Predicting and Detecting Ovulation Abstract of the Disclosure A method of monitoring the concentration of a given vola- tile organic compound commonly found in vaginal secretions is described as providing a reliable diagnostic indication of ovula- tion, and more particularly is described as providing a simple home-test method of predicting the onset of the fertile period, thereby increasing the reliability of the "rhythm method" of birth control. In a series of experimental tests conducted at the Monell Chemical Senses Center, this method was shown to be safe, simple and reliable.
