The invention provides a method of predicting the size of a dog that will be attained in adulthood, comprising typing the nucleotide(s) present for a single nucleotide polymorphic (SNP) marker present in the genome of the dog at a position equivalent to position 201 in one or more of the sequences identified in Table 1, and/or at one or more positions which are in linkage disequilibrium with any one of these positions, and thereby predicting the size of the dog that will be attained in adulthood.
La présente invention concerne une méthode de prévision de la taille d'un chien à l'âge adulte, ce test consistant à typer le ou les nucléotides présents pour un marqueur de polymorphisme d'un nucléotide simple (PNS) présent dans le génome du chien à une position équivalent à la position 201 dans au moins une des séquences identifiées dans le tableau 1 et/ou au niveau d'au moins une position qui est en déséquilibre de liaison avec une quelconque de ces positions, ceci permettant de prédire la taille du chien lorsqu'il aura atteint à l'âge adulte.
