ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The present invention proposes an apparatus for pre- heating and reducing raw material blends used for ferroalloys and special kind pig-iron manufacturing, consisting of a cylindrical body the lower extremity of which has a conical form and is connected to a perforated transition tube, a smoke chamber and a receiving bunker located at the upper extremity of said cylindrical body, a combustion chamber set around the perforated transition tube and a feeding disc for feeding the preheated and reduced blend into a furnace from said combustion chamber. Such an apparatus can be used for producing burnt lime or dolomite.
