A load cell is attached to seat parts (88, 15) (frame and pan) and includes a housing (2) and a mounting (1) acting upon a dish spring (4) with a strain gage (5). Lateral and angular decoupling is achieved with a ball bearing (43) and a slider (46). A sliding trap ring (122) provides a compliance to linear and angular misaligments and overload protection. A bushing (89) in form of a rubber sleeve with a Teflon coating is used between housing (2) and mounting (1). The bushing may also be steel ball bearings between two elastic rings. Springs (97) are precompressed by a preload bolt (125).
