A method for supporting the in vitro growth of one or more eukaryotic cell type(s), the method comprising; seeding cells of said cell type(s) onto particles comprising basement membrane or a basement membrane-like substrate, and culturing said seeded cells in vitro under conditions suitable for expansion of said seeded cells, wherein said particles are less than about 500 µm in size.

L'invention concerne une méthode destinée à favoriser la croissance in vitro d'un ou de plusieurs types de cellules eucaryotes. Cette méthode consiste à ensemencer lesdites cellules sur des particules comprenant une membrane basale ou un substrat de type membrane basale, et à cultiver les cellules ensemencées in vitro dans des conditions permettant l'expansion de ces cellules ensemencées, lesdites particules présentant une taille inférieure à environ 500 µm.
