The present invention provides a formulation for use in the treatment of corrosion and metal sulphide scale deposits in aqueous systems, said formulation comprising a tetrakis (hydroxyorgano) phosphonium salt (THP+ salt) and a primary, secondary or tertiary alcohol having an acetylenic bond in the carbon backbone. The invention also provides the use of such a formulation for treating corrosion of mild steel, copper or aluminium, and a method for treatment of an aqueous system containing or in contact with a metal sulphide scale while concomitantly inhibiting the corrosion of surfaces in contact with said aqueous system, which method comprises the addition to said aqueous system of a scale and corrosion inhibiting amount of such a formulation.

L'invention concerne une préparation destinée à être utilisée dans le traitement de la corrosion et de dépôts de tartre de sulfure métallique dans des systèmes aqueux. Cette préparation comprend un sel tetrakis (hydroxyorgano) phosphonium (sel THP?+¿) ainsi qu'un alcool primaire, secondaire ou tertiaire possédant une liaison acétylénique dans le squelette de carbone. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation d'une telle préparation pour traiter la corrosion de l'acier doux, du cuivre ou de l'aluminium, ainsi qu'un procédé de traitement d'un système aqueux contenant ou en contact avec du tartre de sulfure métallique, tout en inhibant simultanément la corrosion de surfaces en contact avec ce système aqueux. Ce procédé consiste à ajouter à ce système aqueux une quantité anti-tartre et anti-corrosion d'une telle préparation.
