ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention is a pharmaceutical composition for topical applica- tion to the nose to combat nasal hypersecretion, which comprises a quater- nary tropane alkaloid derivative with atropine-like activity, i.e. vagus blocking activity, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent. The preferred quaternary tropane alkaloid derivative is N-isopropyl nortro- pine tropic acid ester methobromide.
