The present invention is based upon a finding of mutated strains of bacteria and viruses that create auto-immune reactions which bring out inheritedand other weaknesses. The mutated bacteria and viruses may be treated in a way that does not cause suppression of symptoms, but actually rids the body of the harmful aggressive bacteria and viruses and increases the body's immune function. This treatment involves providing a therapeutic composition containing a therapeutically effective amount of an extract from a suitable turtle shell for treating the disease state.
