The invention concerns a method of preparing 1,2-dimethyl-3,5-diarylpyrazolium methylsulphates of general formula (I) in which R1 and R2, independently of each other, may be hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, halogen, nitro C1-C4 haloalkyl, aryl or other substituents which are inert under the conditions of the reaction. The method calls for 1-methyl-3,5- diarylpyrazoles of general formula (II), in which R1 and R2 are as defined above, to be reacted at elevated temperatures with a) methanol and SO3, b) methanol and sulphuric acid and/or c) methanol and methylsulphuric acid.
Le procédé décrit sert à préparer des 1,2-diméthyl-3,5-diarylpyrazoliumméthylsulfates qui répondent à la formule générale (I), dans laquelle R?1¿ et R?2¿ désignent indépendamment hydrogène, alkyle C¿1?-C¿4?, cycloalkyle C¿3?-C¿8?, alcoxy C¿1?-C¿4?, halogène, nitro, alkyle halogéné C¿1?-C¿4?, aryle ou d'autres substituants inertes dans les conditions de réaction. On fait réagir à haute température des 1-méthyl-3,5-diarylpyrazoles qui répondent à la formule générale (II), dans laquelle R?1¿ et R?2¿ ont la signification susmentionnée, avec (a) du méthanol et SO¿3?, (b) du méthanol et de l'acide sulfurique et/ou (c) du méthanol et de l'acide méthylsulfurique.
