A preparation of 3-amino-1-hydroxypropane-1,1- diphosphonic acid includes the steps of: mixing N-alkoxycarbonyl-.beta.-alanine, phosphorous chloride and phosphorous acid in the ratio of 1 : 1 : 1 or 1 : 3 : 3 in a reaction solvent, xylene at 70 ~ 140°C; hydrolyzing; and obtaining 3-amino-1-hydroxypropane-1,1-diphosphonic acid as a product, thus decreasing the production of unidentified by-products and giving a low production cost by using xylene instead of chlorobenzene as a reaction solvent.

Une méthode de préparation de l'acide 3-amino-1-hydroxypropane-1,1-diphosphonique comprend les étapes suivantes : mélanger de la N-alcoxycarbonyl-bêta-alanine, du trichlorure de phosphore et de l'acide phosphoreux dans un rapport de 1:1:1 ou 1:3:3 dans un solvant de réaction, le xylène, à 70 ~ 140 degrés C; procéder à une hydrolyse; et obtenir de l'acide 3-amino-1-hydroxypropane-1,1-diphosphonique comme produit; l'utilisation de xylène plutôt que de chlorobenzène comme solvant de réaction permet de diminuer la production de sous-produits non identifiés et de réduire le coût de production.
