A method for preparing a catalytic composition for the olefin polymerization in the form of a dispersion of catalyst particles in a semi-fluid matrix, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: a) forming a suspension of catalyst particles in oil by loading under a continuous stirring dry catalyst powder into a tank containing said oil, the load velocity of the catalyst powder per m2 of oil interface being less of 800 kg/h*m2; b) adding under stirring a molten thickening agent having a melting point in a range from 30 to 70°C, while maintaining the catalyst suspension in oil at a temperature such that said thickening agent solidifies on contact with said suspension.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une composition catalytique pour la polymérisation oléfinique sous la forme d'une dispersion de particules catalytiques dans une matrice semi-fluide. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend les étapes suivantes : a) formation d'une suspension de particules catalytiques dans de l'huile en chargeant de la poudre de catalyseur sec sous agitation continue à l'intérieur d'un réservoir contenant ladite huile, la vitesse de charge de la poudre de catalyseur par m2 d'interface d'huile étant inférieure à 800 kg/h*m2; b) addition sous agitation d'un agent épaississant fondu ayant un point de fusion dans la plage allant de 30 à 70 °C, tout en maintenant la suspension de catalyseur dans l'huile à une température telle que ledit agent épaississant se solidifie au contact de ladite suspension.
