A method of preparing acylated .alpha.-amino carboxylic acid amides directly from aminonitriles in high yield and purity. The method involves acylating the aminonitrile with an acyl halide under Schotten-Baumann conditions, and hydrolyzing the resulting nitrile to the amide. The resulting acylated amino carboxylic acid amide precipitates and can be isolated by filtration in high purity.

Procédé permettant de préparer des amides acylés de l'acide .alpha.-amino-carboxylique directement à partir d'aminonitriles, avec des rendements et une pureté élevés. Selon le procédé, on acyle l'aminonitrile avec un acyl-halogénure dans des conditions de Schotten-Baumann, puis on hydrolyse le nitrile produit de façon à obtenir l'amide. L'amide acylé d'acide amino-carboxylique obtenu précipite et peut être isolé par filtration avec une grande pureté.
