Abstract of the Disclosure: Bis-(aminocyclohexyl)-dialkyl- methanes of the general formula I Image where R1 and R2 are identical or different and are each lower alkyl, R3 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, and the two cyclohexane rings may be unsubstituted or substituted, are prepared by a process in which a para-unsubstituted anil- ine is condensed with a lower aliphatic ketone in the pre- sence of a strong acid, and the product obtained is then hydrogenated in the presence of a ruthenium-containing catalyst.
