A description is given of an extrusion process for the preparation of a low- dust stabiliser using a sub subcooled melt as granulation liquid, as well as of novel amorphous modifications of different stabilisers, including 2,2'-methylenebis(4-[1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl]-6-benzotriazol-2-yl-phenol), and of the .beta.-crystalline modification of 2-(2- hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)-5-chlorobenzotriazole and of the preparation thereof. The novel process affords products which are easy to handle ani which are flowable, and the novel modifications have advantages as regards their preparation, processing and their use as stabiliser.

L'invention a pour objet un procédé d'extrusion pour la préparation d'un agent stabilisant peu pulvérulent à l'aide d'une surfusion d'un liquide de granulation. L'invention concerne aussi de nouvelles modifications amorphes de différents agents stabilisants, comprenant du 2,2'-méthylènebis(4[(1,1,3,3-tétraméthylbutyl)]-6-benzotriazol-2-yl-phénol) et la nouvelle modification beta -cristalline du 2-(2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylphényl)-5-chlorobenzotriazole et la préparation de ces dernières. Ce nouveau procédé permet d'obtenir des produits faciles à manutentionner et fluides. En outre, ces nouvelles modifications présentent de nombreux avantages en ce qui concerne leur préparation, leur traitement et leur utilisation comme agent stabilisant.
